BLM the movement has been a collective that has advocated to end the unjust killing of Black people. Its viral outcry has come with a storm of support that has transitioned into media partnerships and collaborations.
BLM showcased BLM x FUBU, its highly anticipated collaboration with the iconic streetwear brand FUBU, at ComplexCon in Long Beach, California. This is a crucial election period, so BLM and FUBU teamed up to actively engage with Blacks and other underrepresented communities, as well as millennials and GenZers. A part of the BLM #WhatMatters2020 campaign, the line was created to encourage people to vote.
#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy by combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.
